Summer Thus Far

Because I went to school out of state it's been a couple of years since I have experienced a real "Roney" summer.
There is really nothing like them, you can't even compare.
This summer in particular is ever so crazy and it has only just begun!
So let me give you a little taste.

A bit of the 2013 Roney summer thus far...

How could I not share this picture^^

To kick it all off my sister Kenzie got married, she is now a Rudd^^

My lifelong best friend Nico Niccoli returned from his mission in Milan, Italy (I know, I am jealous too) and I couldn't be happier to have him back in my life!^^

My dad took me and my three youngest siblings to Disneyland.
It was overdue for us all and we were all raised Disney obsessed so naturally we had a blast.
I loved spending time with them all.

It was over 100 Degree every day we were there.
We were sweating bullets to say the least!

Above is my dads real reaction to the Tower of Terror.
I never knew he was scared of this ride until I saw this picture.^^

If you know my dad then you know where I got my sweet tooth from.
It is never a complete Disney trip until we've had every treat in the park.^^

This little buddy may be a terror but he is so cute and awfully hilarious you gotta love him!^^

The reason we went to Disneyland in the first place was with the excuse that I had to go to FIDM to finalize my graduation stuff and pick up my cap and gown.
I loved seeing friends I've been missing and just being on campus again (even if only for a few hours) out a big smile on my face.
I miss LA.^^

I am so proud of my brother, Keaton.
He has been called to serve a mission for the LDS church in Tuscan, Arizona \\ Spanish speaking
Reporting to the Provo MTC June 26th!
Only a couple more short weeks with this funny man.^^

Breaking Nico back into life has been quite a treat, to say the least.
The thing he wanted me to do with him most since the day he got home was take him to Taco Bell.
He missed it more then I can even put into words.^^
It's the little things in life, yeah know?

I've been spending a whole lot of time with this freaky family of mine. ^^

And a whole lot of time enjoying the beautiful sunshine.^^
My little man is like a merman, he is in the pool from sun up to sun down everyday.
(No Exaggeration)

My brother Kyler got married a month after my sister. ^^
I am so happy for him!

I am happy to have a new sister in the family.
Anyone brave enough to put up with my family, especially Kyler is welcomed with open arms.
She fits right in and we all love her! ^^

Party people^^
Need I say more?

Reconnecting with this handsome^^

Being true Americans we had to celebrate national doughnut day with some of the best doughnuts in town.^^

If you know me at all you know I do NOT exercise in the slightest.
So me hiking the Y is a BIG deal.
I brought my 6 year old brother along so I didn't look like such an idiot, but truth is he did much better then me. ^^

This little man was the happiest little boy to make it to the top of Y for his first time!
I don't think I've ever seen anyone so excited.
I sure do love him, he makes everything a good time.^^

The biggest thing I've been keeping in mind lately is to remember the small moments.
Life is fast, so don't forget to stop and take it all in for a minute.
If you don't then you might just miss some of the silliest, laughable, happiest memories.

Post FIDM life... thus far.

Moving back to Utah has been a transition to say the least.
Of course I was excited to come back and have a summer filled with adventure ahead of me to look forward to. But living in Provo again verses LA has been, whats the word... different I could say.

Not like I haven't grown up and lived in Provo the majority of my life, but I fell in love with LA and my life I held there.
Everyday jam packed, I felt I hardly had a moment to breath. Matter of fact I had to constantly remind myself to do just that.
From classes ranging from 3 to 6 hours long, and three hours of homework to each one of those hours. To church activities and friends to stay connected with. And making sure my family knew I was still alive (which I probably didn't do as often as I should have). It was nonstop days, I never had to think about what I was going to do the following day. I was just that busy.
This isn't about being busy though, that would be a bore and I would ask you to stop reading now. But it is about the change of pace it has been since moving back to my beloved parents house.
(Yes you read that right, I moved back in with my parents, into my old room, with my amazing, crazy siblings.)

Upon coming home I was blessed to be able to go to the Cayman Islands with the entire family for ELEVEN days. Yes and I do mean the entire family! Even those engaged got to come with us, so to say the least it was a packed house. But our family has always thought the more the merrier!

Hence my parents having twelve kids...

It has been years since we have all been able to be together with those serving LDS missions and going away to school, its been tough to bask in family time. It was a blast to get to spend that time together before everyone is off getting married and onto new adventures. Plus there is nothing like having no cell phone service, trapped on a beautiful warm island with a bunch of crazies!

It didn't hit me that I was actually a Utah resident again until we returned from our trip to what I like to think heaven. With boxes on boxes on boxes of things to unpack and find somewhere to stash my goods or what my mom would call crap, you could say I was occupied. With majority of those boxes being jam packed with clothes and no where to put them because my sister took over my room while I was away... (can I still call it MY room? I totally do!) Unpacking kept me going for a few days... but I kept getting the same question from everyone I came upon, "What are you going to do with your life?" The big question I am pretty sure every college grad cringes at. So to answer the question for everyone, I just don't know... Is that an OK answer? I am debating a lot of options and trying to decide where life should take me next. So be patient and I will keep you updated.

For now I am working for my mom. With two weddings at our house this summer she has got some work that needs to be done. And being the busy mom she is, there is always things to be helped with. Its hard to find time to do the nit picky things when you are home schooling, cooking dinner, keeping the house "looking" decent, and keeping up with the lives of 13 other people (husband totally included). So I am here to lend a helping hand, and it doesn't hurt to get paid while at it. I have mostly been organizing the house, taking it one room at a time. Sound easy? It is far from it. I don't mean it is hard, but that it is so so so time consuming. Took me two days straight for more than 12 hours just to get the playroom in order and that is just one room in this abode. Keeping myself busy has been important to me since coming home, especially not having time back at school to even catch up on the new episodes of New Girl (the funniest T.V. show you MUST watch if you haven't been able to catch it yet). I didn't want too much free time on my hands. So for now that is my life. I went to fashion school to become an organizer... Kidding! I have been searching and keeping an eye out for different opportunities to take ahold of.

I am also currently working on my Swimsuit line as well and am excited to get my new suits in this summer, so keep an eye out for those! My schooling was absolutely amazing and I am thankful everyday I was able to attend such an incredible school and meet amazing people I will never forget.

After being home for about a week my best friend, Olivia, and I were going through withdrawals from being apart for so long. Seeing each other just about everyday to not seeing each other in about a month was really taking a toll on the both of us. So what better than to get away and go on an adventure together?! Done and done! We were off to San Fran together for a few short, but wonderful, days! I have ever been to the city myself so I was over joyed to be able to go and spend some time with one of my super great friends there. From attempting to roller skate across the Golden Gate Bridge, recreating the T.V. show Full House scene, going across to Oakland to see the gorgeous LDS Oakland temple, eating lots and LOTS of delicious food, hiking and driving through incredible BIG SUR, spending a night in a hostel at an old lighthouse, getting our toes back into the sandy beach, riding the cable cars, and so much more, we had the time of our lives. We were the ultimate tourists but we could care less to be those dorks, we enjoyed every second of our time in San Fran and came home 10 pounds heavier. A lot of things in life make me happy but spending time with Olivia is definitely in the top of my happiness list. Never a dull moment when the two of us get together!

Back in Provo now with the family, with the crazy wedding plans going on. Walls being scrubbed down, bride going cray cray, boys hiding, mom trying to keep the peace and everyone over it, but very excited for the bride to be to move onto the next chapter of her life. Never slow motion in this house and I am glad I am able to be here and be apart of this family. Nothing like a Roney summer!

IMPORTANT: Big shout out to my amazing friends who have kept me sane and made the transition easier since moving back. I don't know what I would do without them and am so grateful for their love & friendship in my life! And BIG thanks to their patience with me & my nonstop rambling mouth...
