...And there is one in particular that I just cannot get enough of :) you all can probably guess who I am talking about. Well today is my favorite day of the week, every week... his pday. Letters make me so happy! They always brighten up my day and today wasn't anything short of that! It was actually exceptionally GREAT. Why? Because I got to look at these suckers that popped up in my email inbox while sitting in a extremely boring class this morning...

Finally. I moved. I've known the day would come sooner or later but it always felt like a later. I always saw it as something in the future, something that I would do someday, you know... later on. And honestly I felt that way all the way up until the day I left.. and even more honestly the first few days just felt like a vacation. Than the weekend hit and homework hit, that's when reality really showed me it was here.

But the adventure has begun and I couldn't be more excited!

You are probably all wondering what classes are really like at a fashion institute. Well probably to disappoint you they are just like any other college (basically). I have to take math and English and history, the works. But the best part is about being at a specialized school is we talk about fashion in EVERY class. We have to learn the other life stuff as well but we relate it all back to fashion. I love it. I learn more quickly and understand it way better! duh

All of my classes are 3 hours long. Yes, you read that right, three hours. And that is just because I am just starting out. I guess they think the longer you last there the longer you should be in class. So I really look forward to those 6 hour classes that are coming up sooner or later, really luckily later. Yep, you read that correct too, six hours.

Now a 3 hour class may not sound so bad to you but let me tell you having three 3 did you have to read that a couple of times? hour classes a day really takes a toll on a person, well on me at least. First class of the day went great! I was excited, eager to learn and my textbook had a picture of a high end fashion picture on the cover. So how can a girl not be stoked?! Than next class comes around and I was still feeling good but a little less enthusiastic. I had a full belly from my lunch break, the classroom was warm, and my padded seat was a little too comfortable. But I was upbeat and enjoyed the class. Than my last class of the day rolled around. As excited as I was to be there I was really just feeling like I had to much information to take in for that day and sitting for yet another three hours was not looking to promising. How was I going to make it all the way through this next class I was wondering. talking to myself is normal don't worry Everyone else was loading up on coffee and taking cig breaks while I have to sit next to them and gag every time I take a whiff! (No people do not smoke in class they just do in between classes.) I survived though and happened to make it out alive.

Dramatic?? a little It wasn't even that bad. It was actually really interesting. Other than the LOADS of homework every class gave me I really enjoyed being there for my first day.

six. I have six classes this term. They say for every one hour of class you have you get three hours of homework, do the math, I have six three hour classes, that's 54 hours of homework. can't wait :)

It only got better from there. People starting talking to me! I know you are thinking, wow big deal Kortni people talk to me everyday. Well yes BIG deal. When I first got there I felt like I was the only outgoing person their in the whole school. How could this be I thought to myself, all these people want to go into big industries where communication is so important. I don't know if it was orientation nerves or what but everyone seemed so very antisocial and would just stare at me and whoever my "victim" was I so happened to sit next to and strike up a conversation. What was I getting myself into?! It was as if meeting new people was going to kill them. Maybe it was just the new students though because once classes started I was able to get a burst of air knowing that people actually DO indeed know how to talk. And I made new friends, that can talk, and be normal. PHEW. Than I knew everything was (is) going to be ok. Thank you to you people who know how to use your voice box, I appreciate it.

Definite plus... they have baskets of candy every where around the school and you can take whatever you want. If you know me well you know I have a minor MAJOR sweet tooth. heavenly. People wonder why college students gain so much weight. It remains a mystery to me!

Now everyone says that F.I.D.M. is hard. They really aren't over exaggerating. Classes are on fast track, they want to get you in and out. No not a free hamburger. You double up in classes so you can get through those classes faster. So it is not any harder than any other college, technically. Just twice the pace as other college. Which means you have always got to be on top of things. If you miss one single class, your missing about 3 lessons, that is a lot to miss! Plus the administration is always filling you with tons of information I feel like I need to carry around a tape recorder so I don't forget anything.

Optimistic: disposed to take a favorable view of events or conditionsand to expect the most favorable outcome.

Ok too much writing I know. To sum it all up, I am really happy to be here. I am so ready for this new adventure in my life. It is all so exciting and new I still feel like it is all a little surreal. I hope my family hasn't forgotten about me yet.

HEY YOU GUYS! I'm still alive!

just incase they needed a reminder.

I love everyone and miss you all but I am really pumped to be where I am. Plus who wouldn't want to come visit me- the beach, Disneyland, great shopping, and my favorite restaurants are all in a 15 minute radius from my living quarters a.k.a. apartment 350. BOOYEAH GRANDMA.

P.S. did I mention my school is bright pink?! Well it is! on the outside don't worry I don't have to stare at bright pink roaming through the hallways. The couches are bright purple and the library floor is hot pink.

Speaking of the library, it is every girls dream! They are prescribed to every fashion magazine out there and you can borrow them every month and the shelves are stocked with every fashion book you could every imagine (plus other ones too). It's like a whole different world in there. And on another note, if you are a guy reading these, take F.I.D.M. into serious consideration when thinking about colleges because seeing as half the guys that attend there are gay (yes this does mean some indeed are straight) you have so many beautiful girls fawning over the few of you that actually are man enough to go. Isn't that every guys dream to be able to choose from thousands of ladies every day? only suggesting.

There is a first for everything right?

Well today I got my first case of the NERVES.

I am leaving in about 10 days!

Which I am scared are going to just fly right by...

I was just sitting here making a list of everything I need to do before I leave and it (finally) hit me a little bit that I am leaving everything I have ever known behind.

No more waking up to Karson busting, yes busting is the right word because when people open my door it sounds like they "busted" in, into my room early in the morning. No more late night runs to cafe rio for the best pork salad to exist. No more getting someone to fold my laundry for me. No more dinners ready for me at six every night magically (thanks mom:). No more long hours laying in my bed with Keely laughing at nothing. No more big room with lots of space that fits all my stuff. No more playing with kids all three hours of church.

No more comfort bubble.

AHH. The first case of the nerves.

Bye bye Wisdoms!

On friday I got my wisdom teeth pulled

(along with a baby tooth I still had. About time I grow up I guess)

one of my besties, Courtney, got hers pulled on monday

It was a fat cheek fest together as we slept for 24 hours straight.

Or was it longer? It seems to all be a blur.

I expected the worst but I think I got the best of it,

Barley getting swollen, barley any pain (mostly only when I slept on my cheeks).

The worst part was the constant bleeding in my mouth, that I tried to absorb with loads of gauze, but mostly just ran down my throat.

YUM.

The hardest part is not being able to eat.

Thankfully for my dad, who is now a smoothie champion, has tried to keep me loaded.

Most disappointing part? I wasn't even funny!

I was expecting some hilarious videos when I came to but to my dismay, nothing.

My mom claims all I did was giggle at everything.

If anyone asked me a question or talked to me I just smiled and laughed.

bummer.

But so grateful it has been a super easy healing process.

I really do NOT like pain.

I will sure miss you wisdoms, you were pretty good to me....

A bunch of my friends are moving to various areas in the world for the semester of school and I am off to school as well, it' an exciting time for everyone but also sad because I am going to miss them all so much!

Before people starting taking off we decided to take a weekend together and just all hang out. We went up to my families cabin in Deer Valley to live it up with each other. There was a whole lot of us which made for a whole lot of fun, loads of laughter, and not enough sleep.

I am so grateful for all my friends and wish them the best as they set off on new adventures!

I love you girlys!

I will miss you best friends!

Meteor Shower?...

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket save it for a rainy day

Once in a while I catch wind that there was a meteor shower.

Was being the key word there.

I never know until the next day when everybody's facebook status is talking about it and I have texts streaming in asking if I stayed up to watch it. Of course I didn't though because I didn't even know it was going to happen!

So when I catch wind of it coming this past weekend I wasn't going to be missing out on yet another supposedly amazing night. So I grabbed my sister Karly and we headed for the tramp. Starting off eager and amazed we watched big eyed just waiting, waiting, waiting... a few shooting stars here and there would get us all excited again and kept our focus. After a good 15 minutes Karly was out cold. So much for the company, I was left to my lonesome, but still eager to see this thing go down. The moon was in full force! no joke it was a full moon. and once it hit 2:30 am I gave up. A few shooting stars were amazing but I was definitely disappointed in the NO show.

To my dismay we headed inside to our comfy beds with only a few wishes from the shooting stars of course under our belts.

Maybe next time!

Lake Leeds

My wonderful cousins invited my family to go to Lake Leeds with them this summer. It was so much fun to spend time with them and brush up on our boating skills! Lake Leeds is by St. George so it was nice and hot. And the lake was pretty small but we were pretty much the only boat out there every day so it was like having our own private waters and it was a blast!

On the way there we stopped at this classy place for some grub.

Me, my cousin Hayley, and her cousin Megan decided to dress as piligamists while we went shopping at Walmart. It was nessicary seeing as we were in a paligimist town, we were only trying to fit in. Our dads wouldn't walk by us though... weird.

Ok I know the 4th was over a month ago but it is my favorite holiday so I need to back track and get it out here!

The 4th in Utah is amazing! We celebrate real good!

With the freedom festival, stadium of fire, barbeque's, family, scootering the route, and the parade you just can't go wrong celebrating it ptown! I love all of these things, which are traditions in my family and it is SO much fun!

My family never attends the stadium of fire, why spend the money when you get the best view in town right from our hill? not that I haven't ever been but prefer it this was, usually. You can see the singer on the jumbo screen and you can hear (mostly) what you want. But who cares about all that, the best part comes at the end... the FIREWORKS! And we watch in enjoyment without it being super loud and raining ashes on us.

mmmm yeah I love the 4th.

Next matter of business, the parade!

Childish? for sure! But I love seeing what the city comes up with for floats and the giant balloons you try to get the people to run around as fast as they can to make it spin for you. After awhile you can definitely get pretty bored but for the most part its worth it! My whole family, cousins and all, watch it together, so how could it not be a good time!

I am finally 19! I have been waiting for this glorious day to happen! It's just something about the number that makes everything better. It isn't a baby number anymore but I am still young. It is just so great! My friends and family all celebrated with me and I love them all! It truly was the best day of the year! Thanks to everyone who partied with me I had a blast!

I started off the day by sleeping in.

Than a bunch of us crazy kids went to a pool to cliff jump,

go on a super fun slide in every way imaginable,

swim swim swim (I love swimming),

and playing tag... for hours, what fun it all was!

Karson has a new found love for Justin Beiber.

His favorite song is Never Say Never. But he knows the lyrics (and I mean every single line) to all of his songs. All he ever wants to do now is have me turn on "baby beibs", as he calls him, CD. And if that doesn't happen quick enough he has moved onto JB's movie. Which is the only movie I have ever seen him sit all the way through. Well watch the whole thing at least, He may be dancing and singing through it, wait no he is definitely dancing and singing through it, but he gets through the whole thing. He will even tell you what color of different shoes Baby Beib wears in the movie. There may be loads of girls on that show but they do not show a true fan like my little buddy Karson who loves his music not his awesome hair.

Now all the songs are stuck in my head too.

I am in need of a really good book. I am currently in the middle of one, which I think I would usually love, but I am just not in the mood for it I guess. I am ALWAYS open for suggestions. That's the only way I know how to find a good book! So please help a sister out :)

If you have not seen the new PIRATES movie it is a MUST. Most people don't enjoy the second or third one (I disagree and love them all) but this fourth one really is good! Even those two and three haters are back on board with this new one! And good thing for them too because they were probably about to walk the plank... lucky save! If you are like me it is hard to catch everything in this series the first time around so if you have already watched it I suggest going again there are always parts you miss!

I am still trying to go for my second time haha maybe I will take Kyler with me.

Time. It's a funny thing. Days may go by slow but the week might have felt to go by fast. Or you seem to be checking your watch every 5 minutes just to realize only another 5 minutes have past. Or the opposite may happen where you start to wonder where all your time has gone and it seems to have past by you without even stopping to say hello. We all revolve around this funny thing. Time.

I think my "time" has stopped. Or possibly just turned down to super slow motion. So slow in fact I think my days are more like weeks. Maybe I am lucky to have all this extra time. Sorry you guys aren't as blessed as me to have as much time as I do, but no worries I am willing to share all you have to do is ask!

Kyler gets home in 6 days. I am not even counting today because it is almost over. And I get to see him on the 6th day.

Isn't that crazy?? We all cannot wait to see him!

Elder Nico Niccoli has been gone for 4 weeks and 1 day.

summer. Will we have a summer in Utah this year? or just months full of rain??

I can handle the rain but I need my sunshine. Any fun ideas of how to spend this summer??

I think Karson can keep me pretty busy. He never stops!

Eating Right. I always want to eat healthier. Than I think it would help me feel a lot better and really help me out. I just can never get myself to do it. I am always tempted by greasy fries drenched in sauce, homemade chocolate chip cookies (everyday and I can't just stop with one), soda..., candy candy and more candy, basically anything that screams unhealthy at me I am drawn to with great force. I read a G-Free book, it's about being gluten free. There is no way I could ever do it, there are things like super delicious noodles covered in cream that I love just WAY to much. And even though I hate to admit it, I think going for it would really help me out.

even though gluten is flour and heat and other grains my mind turns it into basically everything I love to eat. I keep telling myself to take baby steps into healthier eating habits. But I also need to be honest with myself. I mean come on I have always just eaten whatever I want whenever and I don't have a day under my belt of exercise. Which would actually lead to my next point of interest to develop some kind of workout I would enjoy. I don't know if that day will ever come. Let's just not get into it. HA

Extravaganza

Last night we went to the EXTRAVAGANZA.

My parents are in charge of the cake auction at the Rock Canyon Elementary school extravaganza each year. So I got to hang out with my little buddy and play all the games and got on all the blow up toys. I will be honest, he was just my excuse to get on all the little rides, I still enjoy them all!

We had loads of fun!

He always keeps me entertained!

Than we made it home with these lovely creations thanks to a couple of 5th graders!

How they accomplished such work I don't know

(MAYBE a little help from their parents).

but I am not so sure about eating them.

6am on Thursday morning.

You may be asking yourself why oh why would they be up at that hour!

Or you might be thinking congrats you got up early!

Or possibly even thinking babies I get up at that time every day!

Well Fictionist (they are a band) was being filmed at Marley's on FOX13.

I will be honest, I had never even heard of these guys.

But I quickly learned that they are actually pretty good and are in a competition to be on the cover of Rolling Stones magazine. So yes they are good. Shortly after this early morning I found out that they are really popular around these parts. WHAT? Do I live under a rock?? Apparently! BUT they are currently in the top four and needed votes to get into the top two where they than would basically have a sing off to see who wins the photo for the cover, that is how I picture it at least. (Voting is over now I think but I don't even know if they made it to the sing off or not).

It was like a private concert with only a few of us in there.

I enjoyed a couple of their songs.

They will go places.

Worth the six am wake up call.

And I even got to eat Marley's delicious breakfast.

So indeed I was a happy camper.

AND... I got some clips of them singing. My blog made me cut them down pretty short for some reason but you can get a little taste of what I got to enjoy for several hours! They aren't that great, they were filmed on my phone.

I kept making fun of the red head boy because he just clapped. In my head I was thinking I could be in their band and clap he got the easy job. Not till the end did I find out that he played the keyboard or drums and couldn't bring them ha. And he was Keely's 6th grade band teacher! I think that is super hilarious! She said he was mean and grouchy, I hope he has grown out of that.

AND... When they were all done they gave me a free CD.

Yep, FREE.

Definitely a plus.

Well my favorite thing at Marley's is back!

It's called 'Milo's Salad' and it is the bomb.com!

It is a shrimp salad cooked in some kind of delicious sauce that makes my mouth water and I can't stop eating until I have the dish licked clean.

It's unlike any other salad!

If you are not a salad person who cares!

This is filling and yummy and super scrumptious it wont disappoint!

So get your buns down to the Riverwoods mall or Timpanogos Harley Davidson dealership and order yourself one of these suckers!

So much for my last post filled with hope of the sunshine! We have been welcomed with spring showers though! which will stay until the weekend... which I am only ok with because not only do I enjoy the rain but I can look forward to clear skies and the warm sun this weekend!

While the rain is visiting though, we all put our rain boots on to say hello! And my little buddy Karson can't get enough use out of umbrellas!

So thank you rain for some new entertainment!

Well there are several episodes on there. And they are so funny! I watch them over and over all the time. My whole family quotes them, even the little guy in the picture above (he is actually the funnest at it, you'll understand after you watch an episode). Well these fellas in the picture with me are in those videos. I always knew they were LDS people who made them! I saw them eating at Marley's yesterday and of course had to get a picture with them. I think it's the first time they have been asked to get a picture because they just stared at me blankly. Awkward. But worth it!

On Wednesday I woke up, the sun was shinning, the grass was green, there was a light breeze, I was feeling active. I wanted to ride my bike far and wide, go running around town, take a nice hike. This feeling is rather odd to me... to say the least it's a stranger. I don't like to exercise, and I don't exercise.

Yes I like to swim and ride my bike and play outside and do all that fun stuff that indeed is exercise but it fools me into the enjoyment of it. But hiking the Y was beyond my character. My little sister Karly had never hiked the Y before and Keely only had one time before so I brilliantly thought it was the perfect day and the best idea to get our fat butts to that painted Y up on the mountain, which we have lived by our whole lives. It was going to be quick and easy in my mind.

SO WRONG

I hated it. I don't think it was helping that Karly wanted to turn around every time we got to the next turn. And we got lapped by some 50 year old man who to my knowledge did it at least twice that morning. And the sun was SUPER hot at that specific time of the day (OK it was hot all day). And we are totally out of shape.

But than we reached the glorious top! I was super excited to get to sit down and let the cool breeze dry my taco's out. And we were greeted by this super cheery guy in his 40's who totally made my day. And I got the pride knowing I actually made it.

And than we started our trek down. And as we went I was lovin' it! I was just chatting away and didn't feel tired. I kept thinking, this wasn't so bad, that was fun, I am glad we did this. Than Keely told me I have to remember how I felt going up because we are never doing that again, it was not fun. So I guess I got a little ahead of myself when I said we should do it every week. And than all I wanted when we got to the bottom was a big fat juicy burger and a million fries dipped in fry sauce. What a great reward for what we accomplished! But so much for accomplishing it! Good thing I was with my sister though or none of us would have made it!

And of course we had to take a picture for proof. Because let's be honest not even I would believe myself that I made it to the top.

Moving.

I've been thinking about moving a lot lately.

To the big school.

Away from home.

It's a weird thought, going anyway, doing something else.

I am super nervous but way excited at the same time.

I don't even know what to think really.

It has been bitter-sweet.

I want to go.

I want to stay.

It's nice to think, hey I will be 15 minutes from the glorious beach.

But than I counteract that thought with, boo I am going to such a skiing by the time I am done.

Me and little Karson are great buddies, I hope he stays my bestie.

and Boo my family is going to have so much fun without me.

But than it is like this new adventure, this new world I am about to enter.

There are so many dreams I have

SO many things I want to do in life.

I like to think this is a first step.

I guess we will see if it's a good one

Or even a right one.

But still a nerve racking, exciting thought that

A few weeks ago my parents went to Hawaii (I know this post is pretty late)

and they left me behind with the crazies (meaning a million children)...

What do we do when our parent our out of town and you leave ME in charge??

Too much fun!

We got our creative juices going at 'Color Me Mine'.

Karson is funny, he just keeps painting and painting and painting

over the previous color until everyone is done, then he ends up with a very

colorFULL piece.

It was spirit week for Karter at school...

so everyday we got to do something new and fun with him.

This was crazy hair day and he wanted to spray it with color.

As I drove him to school I saw quite the hair on some of the other kids.

Karter loved it!

Every morning I would make Karter a sandwich to pack in his lunch.

Karson loves ham.

Karson ate his with tongs. He makes me laugh!

I told Karson we could go to the foam pit when mom and dad left.

It was fun to see everyone trying to do tricks and try new things.

Now everyone can't stop asking me to take them back!

Well I could hear him scrapping up and down the driveway all up

until he had to get his butt to school

(I am not going to mention how he managed to get himself there all week)

While my parents were in the beautiful WARM Hawaii

We were in the white COLD mounding snow...

On our last day we built a legit fort. It was totally awesome!

The kids were not only occupied in it the rest of that long day

BUT for the whole next week (if not longer) as well!

On March 24, thursday, Nico got to celebrate his 19th birthday here on the island! He was so happy to get to come and as you can probably guess, he was so excited to be here! I don't think anyone was more excited! He couldn't stop talking about all the different things he was going to do when we got here.

I tried to build him a sandcastle cake in a mold we have but of course when I tried to pull it out it only about half of it slipped onto the table. oh well.. with a few patches and icing it came together (kind of). But all that matters is that it tasted GREAT :)

This boy is the best! He is so fun to be with and he knows how to make me happy!

I am so glad he got to come and spend some time with us out here!

The family finally made it and I don't think anyone could be happier! Who doesn't love the beach?? I know I could live on the beach and never leave to be happy forever! Even though the kids still have to do their school work, I think they would rather being doing in on an island where they can swim for a break and do "beach science" as they play around the ocean, they can't complain. It has been so lovely and we are already having TOO much fun! This is just a small update saying we are still existing, and there is more pictures to come later!

I hope wherever you are it's treating you just as well!

Last week my family went to Orlando, Florida. What did we do there?? Went to Harry Potter land of course! I've been wanting to and lucky me my parents took us! My dad had a Harley Davidson show in Orlando so it was the perfect opportunity to get to go. We all had so much fun and I feel even more in love with HP! It was so amazing!

In there airport when we arrived I spotted this beauty, to say the least I was PUMPED!

When we got to the hotel they had these fun Harley boards,

which we laughed about 'till we got kicked out of the section of the

hotel because we weren't "Harley" people.

HP LAND! As tickets were being

purchased I was going crazy! I

could not wait to get in!

We couldn't wait to go back after we left just so we could

One day for lunch we ate the Planet Hollywood,

The first episode just played on monday and I had been waiting, it looked so awesome!

And it was I must say! But while anticipating this show What better to see it in real life??

This is a Harley Davidson Motorcycle at our hotel made all out of balloons. How cool is that?!?

Our hotel was like a giant dome with a glass roof,

it was pretty awesome.

Inside they had this pond with TONS of alligators in it (around 10 or more).

Everyday I had to take Karson to see them, He thought those were super cool!

a BIG family makes for a very fun Christmas! We may range greatly in age but that doesn't matter! We start by all sleeping together in one room on Christmas Eve, as you can imagine we don't get much sleep at all with Karly next to me shaking our bed all night, kids asking what time is it every five minutes, and my personal favorite of Karson giggling in his sleep in between snores. I must say though it just has to be done in order for the most excellent holidays. After a late night and an early morning we all fell asleep in one place and another taking a nap from extreme exhaustion. I love Christmas! My family is great!

Many guessed but nothing prepared him for his dream mission! He couldn't ask to be sent anywhere better. Nico was called to serve in MILAN ITALY! I must say that is the most amazing mission ever! Halloween is an amazing holiday because there is so many different activities you can do related to the day! One of my favorites= CARVING PUMPKINS!

Tuesday morning I woke up to this...

I thought it was so crazy it was SNOWING that was STICKING already! So of course I had to take a picture of the first snow fall of the season. I was a bit saddened because fall came and went and now we have to go straight into winter. That day was FREEZING! I couldn't believe it got so cold so fast. And I am not ready for super coldness yet. Fall OK I can handle that but I guess I have no choice. Thinking this snow fall was crazy I thought, ok it will probably melt by the end of the day and its just a scare.

until I woke up to THIS...

There is a good 2 or 3 inches there. And to me, a nightmare. I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself that day. I thought possibly I should crawl back into bed and hibernate for the season. Now don't be fooled, I wasn't caught completely by surprise. Keaton, my brother, did warn me it was to snow on Tuesday and naturally I chose to go into denial. Well this is what I get huh??

This past weekend on Friday and Saturday Marley's restaurant was opened at a second location! There was a big party to celebrate with live music, 50% off all food and super fun people!

Head on down to Marley's now located in the Riverwoods Mall and try whatever sounds good because you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose to indulge in!

Nothing is better (and I mean it) than waking up to a fresh baked homemade cinnamon roll on saturday morning! Did I mention it's EVERY saturday morning!

They are so gooey and delicious! I've NEVER had a better cinnamon roll!

But NO BODY AND I MEAN NO BODY likes them more than this guy here! We are all going to be fat, it's so worth it though!

Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey!!!

Yes, you are reading correctly, the circus did come to town and Nico and I went! We had so much fun! We even got picked to go sit out on the floor with all those circus freaks. My favorite part was the elephants, they had like 10! Also the tight rope walkers were amazing! I can't believe what they could do! It was so fascinating to watch all the different acts going on, but don't blink because you'll miss something! Pictures were not allowed I was informed after this pictures so this is all you get. Something funny about it was they had this midget that was just there, he wasn't part of any acts or anything, he was just kind of there running around, it was hilarious! haha. Next time they come into town you have got to go and check them out! Over all experience gets 5 stars!

I will admit I am very intrigued by people. Have you ever seen a fly staring at you like this and you just want to catch it??

Well just a few day ago I was reading one of my friends blog posts here and she was talking about catching a fly! I thought that was awesome and a tough thing to do. Little did I know that my brother Kody is apparently a fly whisperer. In sacrament meeting yesterday he himself caught a fly! But that's not it... you see this fly was a regular fly, it was minding it's own business annoying everyone around it with its flying and buzzing. Kody did his thing though and was playing with this fly! It was following his finger, crawling around on his hand. Eventually the fly decided to rest on the very tip of his pointer finger, this was so funny to all of us that this fly was enjoying Kody so much! Kody than took a swift move and a flick of his opposite hand flicked that fly right onto Keaton! Oh the joys of my family! Well obviously Keaton smelled terrible because this fly flew off so fast we couldn't eve find out where it went! So yes I guess it is true, You can catch flies with your hands!

Over the summer I got to go to the Niccoli traditional California trip. They Used to live down there so I go to see their old house, the neighborhood, meet their friends, and play on the beach! It was so much fun!

My lame blog still isn't allowing me to upload photos so I am just going to do a little talking,
exciting huh??
So bare with me through this, and pictures to come sooner or later!
Let's get this over with....
So lately I have been working hard. On what you may ask, SWIMSUITS of course! I send out my first sample to the factory to be made and I can't wait to see the sample they made and sent back to me to test! It has been so exciting taking the next step into the fashion world. I have come up with 11 different designs that plan to be available to YOU in February!
These Swimsuits will go into two different labels.
1- Called to Surf. Have you been there? If not you should go check out the new store in the Riverwoods mall located on University Ave. It's an amazing surf shop that can dress anyone from preppy to surfer to stylish. The swimsuits I have designed for this line are described as feminine sporty. They are to be "wave rider safe" but you call look girly and cute while your at it!
2- Kortni Jeane! YAY my own personal line that I have chosen to call by nothing other than my name :) Super creative huh? haha. This swimsuits are all around girly! If you want to go to that pool party and be the head turner you'll have got that nailed! But than again if you want to go out on the lake and boat you'll also have that under control. Anywhere anytime, these swimsuits are stylish cute girly supportive and ready for whatever you have in mind!
So look for my swimwear line coming next spring! Also other clothing items which will be just as cute and wearable!

Still not working!!!

When I try to upload photos it bring up all this lettering and numbers into the text area where I am creating my blog post. This also happens when I try to do anything to the text, like font, color etc. This keeps happening to me and so I haven't been able to post in forever! It's getting really annoying... Does anyone know how to fix this problem I seem to be encountering??
Somebody....

Please, HELP!

stupid blog

I have so much to say and so much to catch up on but my stupid blog is not being so very kind to me. I can't get any pictures to upload. This makes me pretty upset seeing as I always forget to blog but when I do find time to get on it will not do as it easily should. How do I fix this problem?? Also as I try to fix the font and things all my buttons are missing so not only is this post pointless but it is going to be so plain. I don't know if I could think of a way this post could get any better :) On the bright side... Nope can't think of one. I am having an fun adventures summer and I can't even document it. Some kind of journal this is going to turn out to be! Hopefully my predicament is fixed sooner than later and I will be back up and running!

Pregnant and beautiful

This is an amazing woman. She is beautiful, always looks so pretty! She has raised an incredible family and gone through an big journey to get there. I look up to her and want to be a lot like her as I grow up! Her name is Kristen Degraff and she is a great friend.

She is pregnant with triplets in this picture! They were just recently born about a week and a half ago! Two boys and a little girl who are all home now!

She already has twins! How does she do it??

So just for her I took on this challenge... yes it is a prego (maternity) swimsuit! I never got a picture of her in it but I did try it on for size and I must say it was quite the fit (only a couple of pillows needed!) I than of course had to show my parents and they weren't to sure about me wearing it but we all had a good laugh! She said it fit perfectly though and I am proud of accomplishing this swimsuit!

I haven't posted in a long while. This is a bit disappointing because in the end I would like to use this blog and turn it into a book. That is my way of getting myself to post so that

I can have some sot of memory from my life, as you can see it isn't going so well.

What's new?? I am the same me with lots going through my mind. As many of you know (that is if anyone really reads this blog) I love to design and sew all sorts of different things.

Lately my love has been swimsuits! Whenever I get into making some item I go overboard and make more than I know what to do with or more than I could ever need. So with swimsuits I have been selling them, trying to share my talent with others but I feel like I can't get enough made quick enough and I want everyone to have the chance to buy one.

Are you a modest person? I am, I mean I would feel uncomfortable in a bikini and I just seem to be relaxed and more chill wearing a tankini (everyone has different preferences). Loving fashion though and not liking to match everybody else at the pool put me in a pickle. That's when I started to come up with my own designs that are cute, funky, fashionable, and modest, fitting to how I like them to but looking super at the same time.

One of my favorite things to work on is dresses. I loved to design my formal dresses for the dances at school. I could make them my way, fitting me perfectly (maybe with a little kinks haha I am not perfect yet), and I can have a custom dress I know wont match anybody else in the room! I couldn't ask for something I could be more interested in and it's a skill that I want to continuing building up, I know it is helping now in my life and will always be useful in my future. My dream would be to share my love for fashion with everyone and using what I can do to help others. Sound cheesy? I say yes! But it is truthful and honest.

Recently someone else has shown a big interest in my designs and an amazing opportunity has come up for me. I am really excited for what's to happen in my upcoming events and hopefully be able to share more of what I do and what I love with a larger amount of people. (Details to come soon). I will say though that I am more than SUPER excited and I have never been so anxious and happy and mind boggled in my life, not that I can remember at least! Sometimes it is great to be growing up :)
